Groceries

The first tip is to make sure that you make a budget for your groceries. Then once you have made this budget, you are going to have to learn how to stick to this budget. Most of the time, it is going to be a good idea to use an envelope that is going to have the cash for your groceries in it. This means that you are not going to use more than your budget if you don’t have it. Plus you can ask your family and friends what grocery store is going to have the lowest prices on their groceries. If you live in an area where there are a lot of different grocery stores, then you are going to want to look for their advertisements to see who is going to have the best prices each week.

Entertainment

The second tip that Sean Seshadri gives you is to change some of your entertainment habits. There are a lot of costs involved if you go out to eat a lot or if you go to the movies a lot. All of these things are going to add a lot quicker than you realize. Therefore, it is a good idea to think about having one day a week that is going to be a family game night. You can also host a potluck, where a variety of families are going to bring the meals that are going to be shared by everyone at the dinner. There are also a few things that you can borrow from your library, so it is not going to cost you any money to have these things. These two main things are going to include books that you can read in your spare time and movies for your movie night at home. Also if you start a book club, then you will be able to rotate a variety of different books among your friends.

Used

The third tip is to buy everything that you can use. This is going to be especially true for your kid’s clothes. It is only going to make sense to buy them used because they are just going to grow out of them so quickly. Some of the places that you can check out for your child’s clothes are thrift stores, online deals, and consignment stores. You are going to be able to some great clothes without having to pay a lot of money for them.

Declutter

The fourth tip that Sean Seshadri gives you as far as your financial plan is to declutter your home. There are a lot of surprising benefits to decluttering your home. You are going to be able to feel a lot more relaxed when you are in the sanctuary of your home. Plus there are a lot of things that you might be able to find when you clean your home. Some of these things might include gift cards and cash that you had forgotten about. Plus you will be able to donate some of the things that you don’t want to a charity. You will be able to a tax receipt so you can use the donation on your taxes. There is also a chance that you will be able to make some money on the things that you no longer want if you are able to sell them at a garage sale or online. When you have less clutter, then there is a chance of you making some more money.
